Yum! Yum! Yum!

One of the "perks" of being involved in student ministry is having the pleasure of knowing about the silly things kids are into. A student sent this song to Jared and he played it for Kati Ann and she thinks its GREAT! She asks him repeatedly to play "Yum! Yum!" on his phone so she can sing with it. As silly as this song is, it is quite catchy and I, regrettably, find myself humming it throughout the day!

Watch Out Emeril!

Kati Ann LOVES to cook! We cook a lot around here since she's developed such an interest in cooking. Tonight we experimented with a recipe that was sent home in her bag at school on Monday. It is easy and delicious. Thought I'd share this fun recipe with you!

(kid-friendly) FRUIT PIZZA
Ingredients
1 roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 (8oz) package cream cheese
1/2 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Assorted fruit: kiwi, strawberries, sliced apples & caramel sauce (forgot to put the caramel in mine), mandarin oranges, blackberries, blueberries, bananas

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. Press cookie dough into an ungreased pizza pan
3. Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool.
4. In a large bowl, beat cream chees with 1/2 cup of sugar and vanilla until light. Spread on cooled crust.
5. Arrange desired fruit on top of filling, and chill.

The BIG Walk

Lots of afternoons after naptime, KA and I like to take Billie for a walk. KA has been telling me the last few times we've been walking that she wants to walk instead of ride in the stroller. So, today I decided to let her walk. She was a real trooper...she walked almost an entire mile on her own. Thankfully, Jared was with us and she rode on his shoulders for the last stretch. As she can see from the picture, she insisted on wearing her jacket backwards and is wearing my toboggan because we couldn't find her's. She looked pretty adorable walking down the street like a big girl.

Getting In on the Photo Shoot

This picture was emailed to me today by a teacher at Kati Ann's preschool (not her teacher but a teacher in another class). The teacher emailed it to me and explained that she was taking pictures of her own class and Kati Ann was in the room and insisted she have her picture taken as well. Obviously our child is not camera shy! What a crazy little joy we have! Its fun to continually learn more about her as she grows into her own little person!

Welcome to the Family!

We are so excited to welcome Colin Michael Reece to the Cargill family! He is the second child to my cousin, Bryan and his wife, Jennifer. I can't wait to get my hands on this precious little guy! I know his big brother, Jackson, is excited as well. We've talked about Jackson having a baby brother and soon Kati Ann will too!! How much fun it will be for our boys to play together!

23 Weeks with my sweet girl cousins

I've had some people ask for some baby bump pictures and quite frankly I don't really have many pictures of myself. However, my aunt took this picture at 23 weeks with my girl cousins who I love so much. So, you can see that I at least look like I'm having a baby now!
