Swimming Lessons

Today was the first day for KA to start swimming lessons. She's taking private lessons in our neighborhood pool with a sweet girl that goes to our church. She's fantastic with KA and KA did great! I'm not sure how it happened exactly but KA is old enough to be taking swimming lessons...wasn't she just Kie's age?

Cutest Kid at School

Today I was pretty sure that Kati Ann was the cutest kid at school. I mean she's cute everyday but today I thought she looked especially cute so I had to take a pic. She wouldn't stand up for the picture but looked cute even sitting in the recliner.

Mother's Day

There is something special about Mother's Day right after having a baby! It reminds you of the love you have for your children but also the love and sacrifice of the mothers in your life.
I am overwhelmingly blessed to have such wonderfully godly women in my life that have modeled what it means to be a good mother.
My own mother is now one of my closest friends. She has challenged and inspired me to follow God's direction in my life as I seek to be the wife and mother God has called me to be. My mom was the epitome of a "Donna Reed." She always had breakfast (and I'm not talking cereal & milk) on the table for all of us to have TOGETHER before leaving for school as well as managing our home so well. I definitely fall short in the domestic area compared to my mom but I certainly have an appreciation for all she did for us.
My MaMa, my mom's mother, taught me perseverance and independence. I'm probably more like my MaMa in the domestic area. She wasn't big into the cooking or sewing like my own mother is but she is a strong, intelligent woman that taught me the meaning of commitment.
My MiMi, my dad's mother, is exactly what I want to be like when I'm her age. She has loved her family in such a way that we are all close to one another (all 32 of us). She's gorgeous and godly and fun to talk to. She goes and does as if she isn't a day over 30!

My Mother-In-Law gave me the most precious man to spend my life with. She raised and loved him to be a man that fervently seeks to follow God in every area of his life. He loves me & our children in a way that he couldn't have learned without her love in his life. She is one of the most courteous people I know and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.
